Kristen Anne Bell was born in 1980 and is an American singer and actress. Bell was raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) and is an RN, and Tom Bell, a television news director. Kristen was born in the town of Huntington Woods, Michigan with the family of a Polish mother and father that was German, English Irish, Scottish, and Irish. Kristen discovered her passion for entertainment from a young age. She attended her audition in 1992, and was then offered an appearance on Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell's mom introduced her to an agent when she was thirteen, and she was cast in newspaper advertisements and television commercials. Bell also began taking acting lessons in private at the age of 13. Bell had an uncredited role in the movie Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell went to Shrine Catholic High School and was part of music and the drama club. She won the starring role as Dorothy at her school's play The Wizard of Oz. Bell then moved to New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She studied musical theater there. Bell left the university in 2001 and began playing the role of Becky of Tom Sawyer. In 2001, Bell made her debut on the credit screen playing the character of Becky Pootie Tang. But, her scene was cut out of the movie and she only appears as a credit. Bell appeared on Broadway on Broadway in The Crucible, a revival that featured Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
